Limoncello Label Design (take5)
Sunday, July 11th, 2010Limoncello Label Design (take4)
Saturday, July 10th, 2010Playing with a second design – the famous Ralph is now the focal point. I’ve placed the image within a ring that’s star studded and embellished with a ribbon. Hmmm, not sure. Brought the texture into the circle this time and a gradient in background. Still searching for those images I shot in Italy.
Limoncello Label Design (take3)
Thursday, July 8th, 2010Still trying to find my photographs from Italy – I have this sneaking suspicion that I shot slides and film. Darn it. In the meantime, attached are screen shots of my first ideas for the limoncello label. Want something that says yellow, fresh and not necessarily by showing lemons. For now I added a filter to Ralph’s image to create a sketched look and removed background. It wasn’t a quality picture to begin with so bringing in texture adds interest. I love texture. So, I’m distressing the solid yellow area too. Those magnificent frescoes in Italy are not slick. The areas I visited were rich in color, art, food, wines, etc. The olive oil alone is divine – my friend would tell you it’s so good you could bathe in it.
