A few posts ago (2010/05/23), I showed my process of redesigning the logo for Sarasota Cycle. Now comes the delicious part…helping the client with the rebranding and redesigning support materials. We started with the business card; I photographed his counter tops for the background art of the card; it’s worth a trip to the store to see these innovative counters – slabs of concrete with embedded bike parts (i.e. chain) – creates a modern, industrial, ‘road meets wheel feel.’ Logo is presented boldly, and the body copy is Bell Gothic. A sans serif, compact font that is legible in small sizes (nuance to the letters, stoke width not too thin, neutral in tone, etc.).
